I was tasked with transplanting tiles, adding the border, sanding the tiles, and staining the entire floor. Trim and thresholds were added later, and not show in this slideshow. Hope this enspires someone to refinish their own parquet floor. If I can do it, so can you. Let me know what you think!
0:10 - What I started with. Spot with no tiles is where the refridgerator was.
0:15 - Transplanted tile area.
0:20 - Laying out where the refridgerator will go.
0:35 - Starting to add border strips, moving clockwise around the room.
0:45 - Refridgerator area done.
1:06 - Make sure you stagger the joints for a clean look.
1:20 - I used a belt sander, went through a dozen belts but it worked.
1:30 - Started applying stain.
2:15 - One coat wasnt enough, lets make it darker with a second.
2:33 - The finished floor.
